Traditional Handloom Alive - https://www.outlooktraveller.com/experiences/heritage/the-hands-that-weave Bodo women have a rich cultural heritage filled with unique traditions and customs. They are known for their vibrant attire, intricate jewelry, and elaborate hairstyles that are passed down through generations. As a Bodo woman, I take great pride in wearing our traditional attire called Dokhona, which is a two-piece dress made from handwoven fabric. The bright colors and intricate designs reflect our connection to nature and our cultural identity. Our jewelry, often made from silver and beads, holds significant meaning and is worn during important ceremonies and celebrations. One of the most cherished traditions among Bodo women is the art of weaving. We spend hours creating beautiful designs on looms, showcasing our skill and creativity. This craft is not only a way to express ourselves but also a way to preserve our cultural heritage for future generations. Overall, Bodo womens traditions play a vital role in shaping our identity and fostering a sense of unity within our community. I am proud to be a part of this rich cultural tapestry and to carry on these traditions with pride and reverence.
